Shoes, make it or break it!
To me it’s the shoes that make the outfit. You can be wearing a really up to date outfit with all the right accessories, yet with the wrong pair of shoes you can just kill the entire look. For instance, you can be all ready for an elegant evening out. You are wearing a glamorous evening dress. You’ve got the diamond studs. Your hair is done just perfectly. Then you decide that those three inch heels you just got for the night are really going to just going to kill your feet. You drop those and choose to wear your ballet flats for the night. Well, frankly you have just killed the entire look. You put so much time and effort into the way you dress, don’t shoot it down by wearing ugly shoes.
Every heard of the expression “You got to suffer for beauty”. That is the way I look at my shoes. Yes, it is way more comfortable to wear sneakers. Yes, wearing three inch heels a whole night will make my feet hurt, but you got to suffer for beauty. That’s the way I feel. I will have time to wear those orthopedic shoes. Maybe when I’m in my eighties I’ll have to give in. Right now I’m stuck on wearing stylish and elegant shoes. You don’t have to wear the three inch heals all the time. There are plenty of times when wearing a great pair of flats is totally acceptable and I even recommend it. Over the weekend you will catch me in nothing else but my Mark Joseph loafers. They are great. They are really comfortable. They come in a great selection of colors and best of all; they look fantastic with a pair of jeans. You just have to know when the right time to wear flats is and the right time to wear heels is. Don’t kill your entire look in order to be comfortable. Your shoes can either make it or break it.
